Back to Long-Play Format?
Because I am feeling a desire for somewhat longer-format posts - although most of it will still be the ephemera that currently stokes the BB fire - I’m thinking of heading back to Wordpress for a while. So, if you are so inclined, keep up with me there: http://bliggityblog.wordpress.com bb

Robert Reich: Slouching Toward a Double Dip or a... →
Watching the wind (not that it was ever powerful) go out of the sails of the mainstream liberal folks who held some hope for a stimulus-driven recovery is getting a bit depressing. I like how Reich labels the state-level budget apocalypses of the coming two years as the “anti-stimulus” (and then some). bb

"LeMond Rode Bike" →
Ah, the poetry of semi-illiterate Craigslist ads! [Greg LeMond used to have his own line of bikes. Some of which were “road” bikes. And, of course, LeMond often rode bikes.] bb

The Inner Ring: Oops, he did it again →
UCI President Pat McQuaid keeps fighting the good fight here…har, har. This comment the other day, that there was nothing improper about Armstrong pledging money to the UCI in 2002 because there were no accusations against him at the time, seemed absurd. And, of course, it is. bb

– This is the kind of shit that makes me apoplectic about the state of pro cycling. I’m with Adam Meyerson on this one, let the whole fucking establishment burn to the ground if this is the attitude. Who has more “love for the sport” - a guy willing to risk his life racing and doping...
